Real Estate Licensing Course for Industry Personnel |

Macleay College is offering a fast-track, part-time Diploma of Property
(Real Estate) specially designed for mature age students and industry personnel
who want to obtain the qualification requirements to qualify for the following:
1. Real Estate Agent’s Licence
2. Certificate of Registration (real estate salesperson)
3. Auctioneer’s Accreditation

Timetable
Classes are conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Hours: 5.30pm-9.30pm
There are no classes timetabled on weekends or during weekday working hours.
Qualifications for
Enrolment
1. Applicants who have completed the NSW Higher School Certificate or
equivalent, in addition to relevant industry experience
2. Mature age people who have work experience and who want to change, re-orient
or upgrade their careers. This category includes applicants with real estate
industry experience.
Qualifications Offered
The course provides students with the qualifications required for a
Certificate of Registration (Real Estate salesperson), Real Estate Agent's
Licence and Auctioneers Accreditation.
Additional Optional
Qualifications
Students enrolled within the Diploma of Property (Real Estate) also
have the option to complete a six-week link course to obtain the qualification
requirements to apply for the following:
1. Strata or Community Management Agent’s Licence
OR
2. Business Agent’s Licence

Recognition of Prior
Learning
Candidates may be eligible for module exemptions based upon Macleay's
recognition of prior learning program. There are two categories under which
candidates may apply for module exemption.
Category A - Candidates with real estate industry experience. If applying for module exemptions under this category, applicants will be required to submit a detailed resume with supporting documents which verify their industry experience.
Category B - Candidates who have fully or partly completed a real estate agency or other tertiary qualification. Relevant courses could include those undertaken at TAFE, university, CALE, Real Estate Institute and equivalent institutions in other states.
Lecturers
The course is conducted by lecturers who have both academic qualifications and
substantial practical experience in their fields.
Macleay's policy is that current professional practice is essential for
tertiary educationalists to provide relevant, up-to-date skills and good
industry contacts.
Location
Macleay College is located in Sydney's central business district. It is in high
quality air-conditioned offices at 175 Liverpool Street, overlooking Hyde Park.
It is next to Museum Railway Station and on the direct route of buses from
Circular Quay, Central Railway and the Eastern Suburbs. It is close to parking,
food outlets and Kinko's copy and computer centre.
Accreditation
Graduates of Macleay's accelerated program receive the qualifications
required by the New South Wales Office of Fair Trading for the Certificate
of Registration (Real Estate Salesperson), Real Estate Agent’s Licence
and Auctioneers Accreditation. The
qualifications are accredited by VETAB (NSW Vocational Education and Training
Accreditation Board).
