We are proud of our successful graduates
Our regular surveys show that more than 95 per cent of our graduates find jobs in the fields they want – a higher success ratio than any other institution in Australia. But don't just take our word for it. The links on the left of this page tell you exactly where our graduates from the past three years found work after leaving Macleay College. Below are also some updates on some recent high-profile graduates.

Yalda Hakim
Yalda Hakim graduated from Macleay in 2005. For the past two years she has been a presenter and video journalist on Dateline, the highly regarded SBS current affairs show. In her role Yalda has filed stories from destinations including Afghanistan, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Norway and India. She has also been a finalist for the Australian Young Journalist of the Year Award and won the United Nations Media Peace Prize for Best Australian Television News coverage in 2009.

Dimity Clancey
Dimity graduated from the journalism course in 2007 and is now a news reporter with Channel 9 News in Sydney. Dimity’s first job after graduation was as a news reporter with WIN-TV in Orange, NSW. As a student Dimity also won the Journalism Education Association award for Best TV News Story by a Student in Australia for her story on the APEC protests in Sydney.

Mitchell Clifton
Mitchell graduated in 2009 from the journalism course. He quickly found himself on radio and is now the breakfast news presenter at Sea FM on the central coast of New South Wales.

Maria Tan
Maria graduated in 2008 from the journalism diploma. She immediately made her mark by winning the 2009 Hunter Institute Response Ability Prize for mental health reporting at the Journalism Education Awards for Student Journalism. Maria's freelance work has since been published in newspapers and magazines across Australia, including The Age.

Jenna Crowther
Jenna graduated from the journalism course in 2009 and is working as the news director for 5RM AM and Magic 93.1 FM at Riverland Radio in South Australia.

Alexandra Barnard
Alexandra graduated in 2008 and was the winner 2009 Journalism Education Association Ossie Award for Student Journalism, Best Print Feature by a Postgraduate Student, and Highly Commended 2009 JEA Ossie Award for Student Journalism, Best Broadcast Current Affairs Story by a Postgraduate Student.
