    What you will learn in the Macleay Book Editing and Publishing course

    Our 17-week Diploma of Book Editing and Publishing will teach you all aspects of book editing and introduce you to the viable career paths open to graduates. We’ll have you crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s by teaching you the requirements of specialist areas ranging from general non-fiction and technical editing through to children’s books, literary editing and more.

    The course digs even deeper by covering book design, on-screen editing of manuscripts, book production processes, digital publishing and book indexing – everything you need to know for a career in book editing.

    Day classes: Friday 10am-3.45pm (includes 45 minutes for lunch)

  • Course Fees

    The Diploma of Book Editing and Publishing is a 17-week full-time course. You can also study book editing part time in the evening diploma course. The course cost is $5,000. The course is not covered by FEE-HELP or any other type of government funding assistance.

  • Entry Requirements

    Enrol in our book editing and publishing course at the Sydney Campus

    Our Book Editing and Publishing Diploma is ideal for beginners. No book editing experience is necessary for you to enrol in this book publisher course.

    The course is ideally suited to people who already have some general work experience and are looking for a Sydney based publishing course to enhance their skills or to start a new career in book editing in Sydney. Entry will be granted after consultation with our Student Recruitment Manager.
