This hands-on course is designed to maximise practical experience across the fields of print, online and broadcast. Units cover all aspects of contemporary advertising, and are designed around three major areas: creative writing and production; media buying and scheduling; and market research and marketing strategies.
The diploma is organised into four streams of units that will give you a broad range of learning and teaching styles, while an internship with a news or media organisation in your final trimester offers a chance to specialise in your chosen field. At the end of this course, you’ll have a full portfolio of work (published advertisements, print layouts and design, and CDs and DVDs of radio and television commercials) to show potential employers.
Recent Diploma of Advertising students have been employed as advertising agency admin personnel, graphic artists, television production staff, copywriters, public relations officers, print production artists, corporate marketing executives, television advertising representatives, agency account executives, promotional staff in radio and television, media planners and buyers, art directors, corporate advertising executives, press advertising representatives, and radio advertising representatives.
