Macleay College recognises some outstanding graduatesIn 2012 Macleay College started its Hall of Fame to recognise graduates who have excelled in their fields since graduation. The 2012 Hall of Fame Ceremony saw Yalda Hakim (Journalism, 2005), Ivan Bresic (Business, 1996) and Jye Smith (Marketing, 2005) awarded at a ceremony in front of Macleay College students as well as their peers. Yalda graduated from Macleay College in 2005 with the Diploma of Journalism. She then went on to become co-host of Dateline, the award-winning current affairs show on SBS. Yalda's reportage of global issues is peerless in Australia and today she is one of our leading journalists. Yalda will move to London in December 2012 to host her own current affairs show on BBC World News - a fantastic achievement.
Jye Smith graduated from Macleay College in 2005 with the Diploma of Business Management. This year he was voted by B&T Magazine as one of Australia's Top 30 People to Watch Under the Age of 30 in the Digital World. Jye has also just been promoted to Vice-President - Digital, Asia Pacific for Weber Shandwick. He is now based in Hong Kong and works with 18 regional offices.
