New Associate Dean is also heading up business faculty at Macleay College
Macleay College has appointed Thelma Raman as its inaugural Head of Business. Raman has a long and distinguished background in education, training and development, with several years’ international experience in the public and private sectors. Her blend of skills is a perfect match to Macleay College’s practical diploma offerings.
Raman says that students enrolling in 2012 have a great opportunity to learn about business from a practical point of view, and then qualify in 12 months with business skills to get a good job or else go into business for themselves.

Macleay College student magazine wins national journalism award
Macleay College’s student magazine,
Sydneysider, has been awarded the 2011
Best Student Publication in Australia by the Journalism Education Association
of Australia. Sydneysider is the college magazine that contains work by our journalism and advertising students.
Our 2012 journalism course has been revamped and students will be working in a totally online environment, producing news stories, television reports and radio bulletins from around the city.

Bond University announces articulation pathway for Macleay College business graduates
Macleay College is proud to announce a new pathway to Bond
University for graduates of our Diploma of Business. Students who successfully complete
their year of study at Macleay College can go on to complete their degree at
Bond. This pathway will be activated in January 2012.

New Head of Journalism brings international experience to Macleay College
Macleay College has strengthened the credentials of its award-winning journalism faculty by appointing Stephen Davis as its new Head of Journalism.
Stephen has been involved in journalism for more than 30 years, most recently as the head of Convergence Journalism at the University of Arts, London, where he developed and introduced new convergence and cross-disciplinary teaching across its BA programs.
