Quality of Education
The reason for Macleay’s
success is the quality of education it provides. The college was founded by
educationalists whose philosophy is based on small classes and individual
attention.
Macleay lecturers have tertiary qualifications and teach only in their own fields. A substantial number of staff lecture at the college while maintaining current positions at executive level in the industry. Macleay’s policy is that current professional practice is essential for tertiary educators to provide relevant, up-to-date skills and good contacts within industry.
High
Level of Computer Skills
Macleay is one of a very few tertiary institutions still offering
a full year’s computer training in every course. Macleay has small classes
taught by fully qualified computer trainers. There is no self-teaching. Our
lecturers attend every class. Macleay graduates receive a separate computer
qualification and a statement of academic record provides full details of
every computer module completed.
Government Accreditation
The Macleay course is
fully accredited by the New South Wales Government’s Vocational Education
and Training Accreditation Board. Macleay qualifications are recognised internationally,
wherever Australian educational credentials are recognised.
Location
Macleay College is located
in Sydney’s central business district. It is in high quality, air-conditioned
offices at 175 Liverpool Street, overlooking Hyde Park. It is next to Museum
Railway Station and on the direct route of buses from Circular Quay, Central
Railway and the eastern suburbs.
Qualifications for Enrolment
Additional Requirements
In addition to the above qualifications for enrolment, students applying to study at Macleay College must also fulfill the following qualifications for enrolment:
1. All applicants must be 18 years and over at the time of submitting their

2. An overseas student whose first language is not English should be able
to speak and write English well. To be accepted for enrolment an overseas

of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. The English results provided must have been taken
no more then two years before the time of the application
Conditions of Enrolment

first-served basis for applicants who fulfil one of the above three criteria.

will be notified by return mail whether their application is successful. Enrolments
from current Year 12 students will be accepted on condition of their completion

Student Counselling
Macleay’s educational philosophy is to provide personal attention
to students. This includes the ability for students to access welfare related
support services to assist with academic, social or personal issues that may
arise during their study including course progress, attendance requirements
and accommodation issues. Advisors are available to provide confidential and
free advice to all students. Where a student requires professional advice,
this student can be referred to an appropriate professional counsellor. Macleay
College does not charge for this referral.

Contact the college
for all information regarding fees.
Three ways of paying fees:
