A successful career is the best outcome we could wish for graduates of Macleay College. The success stories you see here are a small sample of our graduates at different stages of their careers. We are very proud to be able to tell their stories*.

Jye Smith (2008)

Jye Smith graduated from Macleay College in 2008 with the Diploma of Business. This year he was voted by B&T magazine as one of Australia's Top 30 People to Watch Under the Age of 30 in the digital world.

Ivan Bresic (1996)

Ivan Bresic graduated from Macleay College in 1996 with a Diploma of Business. He formed his own real estate agency, Bresic Whitney, at the age of 23 and the rest is history.

Daniel Noble (1998)


Daniel Noble graduated from Macleay College in 1998 with the Advanced Diploma of Advertising and Marketing. He now runs Drive My Car, his Australia-wide car rental busines.

Tracy Alexander (2011)

Tracy Alexander graduated in 2011, but halfway through her course she landed an internship at 2UE as well as a full-time job at film production company Tattooed Media. Tracy has packed a lot of life into her 26 years, having already achieved a degree in cognitive psychology and worked around the world.

Krystle McGill (2011)

Krystle McGill is a Macleay College 2011 journalism graduate who is going places. Halfway through the course she  landed her first paid job in radio, training as an assistant producer at 2UE and handling their middawn weekend shifts. This followed on from her first stint working at 2SM - all at the age of 18.

Emily Bevan (2011)

Emily Bevan had been working in the media in admin roles, but decided in 2011 to retrain as a journalist at Macleay College. The move has paid dividends and she began working weekends at 2GB as a producer even though she was only halfway through her course.

Yalda Hakim (2005)

Yalda Hakim graduated from Macleay in 2005. For the past two years she has been a presenter and video journalist on Dateline, the highly regarded SBS current affairs show. In her role Yalda has filed stories from destinations including Afghanistan, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Norway and India. She has also been a finalist for the Australian Young Journalist of the Year Award and won the United Nations Media Peace Prize for Best Australian Television News coverage in 2009.

Dimity Clancey (2007)

Dimity graduated from the journalism course in 2007 and is now a news reporter with Channel 9 News in Sydney. Dimity’s first job after graduation was as a news reporter with WIN-TV in Orange, NSW. As a student Dimity also won the Journalism Education Association award for Best TV News Story by a Student in Australia for her story on the APEC protests in Sydney.

Mitchell Clifton (2009)

Mitchell graduated in 2009 from the journalism course. He quickly found himself on radio and is now the breakfast news presenter at Sea FM on the central coast of New South Wales.

 

Maria Tan (2008)

Maria graduated in 2008 from the journalism diploma. She immediately made her mark by winning the 2009 Hunter Institute Response Ability Prize for mental health reporting at the Journalism Education Awards for Student Journalism. Maria's freelance work has since been published in newspapers and magazines across Australia, including The Age.

Jenna Crowther (2009)

Jenna graduated from the journalism course in 2009 and is working as the news director for 5RM AM and Magic 93.1 FM at Riverland Radio in South Australia.
