Course overview

A Bachelor of Digital Media from Macleay will have you exploring creative and strategic problem solving, online storytelling, social media and content strategy development in a hands-on learning environment. You'll create and manage digital content across a variety of platforms and carve out your niche in this rapidly evolving sector. Dive even deeper into your area of interest by choosing one of the following specialisations:

  • Coding and Analytics – learn how to code websites and applications and mine data to discern valuable business insights
  • Content Creation – produce photo and video content for digital and social media campaigns
  • Content Writing – become a specialist writer for websites, blogs, social media and other online content
  • Digital and Social Media Marketing* – develop marketing activities and campaigns across channels
  • Digital Entrepreneurship* – learn how to set up your own digital startup
  • User Experience Design* – design digital ads, web banners, interactive websites and mobile apps

*These specialisations are available in Melbourne. All specialisations are available in Sydney.

How you'll learn

Designed and taught by industry professionals, this course focuses on innovative practices and hands-on learning.

You’ll get the opportunity to work both independently and in groups to create real-life projects that test your skills and knowledge. Small classes feature personalised teaching that nurtures each student’s unique strengths.

You’ll develop and design digital content for social media platforms, blogs and websites, create digital photos and online videos, and manage projects like digital marketing initiatives, social media campaigns, interactive websites and mobile apps.
