Macleay College supports Sydney Writers’ Festival

Macleay College is excited to be sponsoring the 2014 Sydney Writers’ Festival (SWF), which officially kicks off at Walsh Bay this week.

Thousands of book lovers will flock to the festival to hear from a stellar line-up of guest speakers such as the writer behind the iconic 1990s publication Trainspotting (novel) Irvine Welsh, and Aussie singer, songwriter and now author Kate Cebrano.

Macleay College journalism lecturer and author of The Youngs: The Brothers Who Built AC/DC, Jesse Fink will be chatting to Jane Vozzo of Foxtel’s Max Music channel about the secrets of Australia’s greatest musical export.

The focus of this year’s Festival is on writing that challenges, provokes and questions our concepts of culture, history and identity. Over 400 authors share their insight, knowledge and creativity.
