The Bachelor of Business specialising in Entrepreneurship will teach you how transform creative ideas into a commercially viable business. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them. By developing an entrepreneurial mindset, you will develop the full range of skills needed to succeed in any business context.
In Year 1 the Bachelor of Business will develop attributes of an entrepreneur by immersing you in design thinking, the lean start-up approach and understanding the customer journey. Develop and pitch your business idea to judges, just like Shark Tank! Understand the key attributes required to success as a technology entrepreneur.
In Year 2 you will focus on more detailed business skills such as leadership, strategic management, project management and business finance. You will develop skills in business consultancy to further your career opportunities to support other entrepreneurs. You will know how to make solid business decisions based on a thorough understanding of economic and marketing data. Two elective subjects also provide you with the flexibility to follow a specific interest.
Each year you’ll take part in our internship placement program. It is an excellent opportunity to build your professional network and whilst applying all of the practical knowledge you’ve gained throughout the course.
There is a focus on action and experiential learning including interactive presentations, industry specific case studies, team work, individual assignments and real world projects which stimulate innovative thinking. The course will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new ideas thereby helping you to develop resilience, adaptability and self-confidence.
