Our Diploma of Business Management specialising in Public Relations teaches you all the skills needed for developing PR campaigns and briefs, managing social media, crisis communications, PR writing and campaign development. You will learn the role of sponsorship, leveraging advertising campaigns, crisis PR, client reporting and internal communications.
You’ll prepare media material, understand mass media and learn about the importance and impact of social media in relationship building. The specialisation also explores PR in the context of other communication fields, including journalism, marketing and advertising.
Importantly you will also gain a broad overview of how to work successfully in business or even set up a business of your own, through the skills gained from entrepreneurship projects.
During the final trimester, you’ll take part in our internship placement program. It is an excellent opportunity to build your professional network and whilst applying all of the practical knowledge you’ve gained throughout the course.
There is a focus on action and experiential learning including interactive presentations, industry specific case studies, team work, individual assignments and real world projects which stimulate innovative thinking. The course will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new ideas thereby helping you to develop resilience, adaptability and self-confidence.
Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Business Management, you will have the opportunity to articulate into the second year of the Bachelor of Business to further develop your skills.
