At the completion of his studies, Adnan secured a role in sales at Ray White Real Estate in Wahroonga. A role perfectly suited to the aspiring estate agent who hopes to own his own agency in the future.
Tell us a bit about yourself
I am 20 years old, I studied Real Estate and Marketing while at Macleay. I have been in Real Estate for almost 2 years now and loving it. I am currently working as a Sales Associate at Ray White in Wahroonga. Prior to this I was a Sales Associate at a Property Investment firm in Pyrmont.
What are your aspirations?
My aspirations are to become a leading agent in my area, and eventually to be a principal of an agency. I also hope at some point to go into teaching. I would like to help people who are starting their careers and give them the best kick-start possible. This was something I was fortunate enough to have received when I was learning at Macleay.
Why did you choose the course?
For me it was all about the people. I have always been a social person so I knew that when I was picking my career it needed to be an on-the-go job and surrounded by people. Real Estate was the perfect choice, because who wants to be at a desk all day?
What was the Macleay experience like?
Being at Macleay is an experience that is unmatched to anything else. No place else offers the sense of community that was offered at Macleay. Your class mates become life long friends and your teachers life long mentors who teach you from their experiences. You will never forget what you learnt from Macleay both in and out of the classroom.
Where did you intern during your studies?
I was one of the lucky few to intern at Macleay helping the team with their day-to-day activities. I also did some of my internship at a Property Investment firm in Pyrmont, where I continued to work after I graduated. It was great that an internship transformed into stepping stone of my career
Professionally, what are you up to now?
Now I am doing sales at Ray White in Wahroonga. I am working with a top agent in my agency, following their footsteps and learning about how they got to where they are now.
