Daniel Koublachvili hit the ground running after graduating with a Bachelor of Advertising and Media from Macleay in 2016. In just a few short years he’s built up an impressive portfolio of clients, worked in New York and stretched his creative muscles with a number of different roles. We invited him back to find out why he chose Macleay and what he’s up to now.
Tell us a bit about yourself
I attempt to lift weights at the gym, whilst spending the rest of my waking hours watching anime or movies. Work-wise, I’m a front-end dev, graphic designer, UX/UI and animator for 1000heads, a social media, word of mouth agency.
What are your aspirations?
My desires are: to become some sort of Director, a business owner, and for Elon Musk to offer me any job (any will suffice). Yes, all are conflicting.
How did Macleay help you realise these aspirations?
By offering all aspects of Advertising at I was able to find my strengths and weaknesses and work on becoming industry ready.
Why did you choose Macleay?
In 2013, I got my Diploma of Advertising from Macleay and then began working in the Advertising industry. I chose to finish my Bachelor Degree whilst working in Advertising due to the international job opportunities it provides.
What was the Macleay experience like?
Great experience in terms of one to one student to lecture experience. The experience taught me to treat your studies like you are in the work environment, because soon enough you’ll be there.
Professionally, what are you up to now?
I’ve had the privilege of my work sending me to work in Soho, New York for a month. Also, had the absolute pleasure of working with clients such as BBC, Microsoft, Samsung, Intel, Uniqlo, Tesla and more!
