Give us a quick run down on your background?
I have 25 years’ experience in publishing and advertising, working with brands including Nestlé, P&G, McDonalds, Ferrero Rocher, Nutella, Volkswagen, Streets and Sony Pictures.

I’ve been an academic sessional lecturer at Macleay College for two decades.
How did you get into the industry?
I started Peppermint to turn the traditional agency model on its head. My goal for the business is to work in partnership with PR and Ad agencies to deliver cutting-edge design, while also training and mentoring the next generation of digital designers.
What is the biggest difference in the industry since you were at university?
Things were a lot more straightforward. If you wanted to connect with your audience, you spent money putting your message in front of them via one of the few available channels: TV, print or radio.

Today, we have an impossibly complicated customer journey across dozens of different channels and devices, struggling all the while to stay relevant by pushing the right value proposition at the right time.
What do you do when you are not teaching?
I’m kept busy with Peppermint and my young family.
What do you enjoy about teaching at Macleay?
I love the small classes, it really gives you the opportunity to get to know your students.
What subjects do you teach at Macleay?
Digital Design, Advanced Digital Design, Digital Visualisation, Interactive Design, Art Direction and Design.
What is the best advice you give your students?
Be bold!
