Give us a quick run down on your background?
I have over 15 years senior marketing management experience obtained whilst driving the marketing planning process and developing marketing strategies for client acquisition, retention and a positive customer experience for a number prestige brands in the FMCG sector including Reckitt Benckiser (Nurofen), Pfizer (Listerine), McDonalds, Smiths Snackfoods and Bonlac (Western Star). I have extensive experience in business-to-business marketing, business-to-customer marketing, services marketing, and business performance.
How did you get into the industry?
I left school and started working for an FMCG company in their Sales department. I loved the energy and dynamic nature of the industry and through exposure with the marketing team I quickly realized Marketing was where I wanted to work. I studied part time and started my marketing career as a ABM.
What is the biggest difference in the industry since you were at university?
Technology advances and agility required by companies.
What do you do when you are not teaching?
I work full-time in the consumer goods industry, I like to keep healthy - running and swimming. Enjoy socializing and spending time with family.
