Meet Paul McDonald

Paul McDonald

Paul McDonald is a photographic artist and curator who has been working in the photography industry for over 15 years.

Paul is the Founder and Director of Contact Sheet, a leading learning space and photography hub at the TWT Creative Precinct in St Leonards, Sydney.

At Contact Sheet, he has designed and delivered a series of bespoke programs for a range of not-for-profit organisations, working with asylum seekers and at-risk-youth, using photography as a tool in fostering personal and community development.

Paul has also held senior roles at the Australian Centre for Photography (Associate Director) and 10×8 gallery (Director), and is a curatorial consultant to Sunstudios and Canon Australia.  

Paul has also worked internationally as an independent consultant and his work has been exhibited in Australia, China, USA, UK and Europe. From 2010-2014, he worked with China News Service to deliver a series of annual photography festivals in southern China.

In 2016, Paul completed his M.A in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the University of Arts London with Distinction.
