Meet Sue Stephenson

Sue Stephenson

Sue Stephenson teaches Media Law & Practice, Newsroom Practice, Social Media Journalism and Media and News Entrepreneurship. 

Sue’s been a multimedia journalist for regional and metropolitan newsrooms for more than 30 years. She’s won a Logie Award and is a former MEAA Journalist of the Year. She’s also been a member of a Walkley Award winning ABC News team.

After starting out in regional newspapers and television, Sue moved to Sydney to join Channel 7 – where she became one of network’s most senior newswomen. In 2010 she became the Founding Executive Producer of ABC News 24 and was later promoted to National Production Editor.

Sue now juggles lecturing at Macleay College with news producing at Channel 9, and Higher Degree Research at the University of Technology, Sydney.
